Addressing election meetings today, Vijay Inder Singla said that no amount of voter intimidation is going to work for the Akali – BJP alliance and Punjabis have made up their mind to cast their franchise against the mafia style of functioning and Congress will come out victorious in all 13 seats in Punjab.
He stated that on one side BJP PM candidate is invoking God to help him and on the other Akalis are wielding ‘danda’ to browbeat the people and remarked that it is common refrain regarding the Akali – BJP alliance in Punjab that ‘jitaange te lootange…haraange te kutange (win we loot the treasury and loose we beat the public). Such tactics only expose the high handedness and empty rhetoric of service to the people and it is only ‘Raj nahi Mewa’ for the ruling alliance in Punjab.
Talking about AAP candidate in Sangrur, Singla remarked that Youth only believe in a merit based society and big ticket projects like rail connectivity, synthetic athletic track, sewerage systems for towns and PGI Hospital are proof of his honest work done and he was confident that these initiatives will bring industrial development and employment in Sangrur region and stated that he was confident that people will see through the gimmickry and false promises of his opponents and repose confidence in his candidature once again.
