Heart-touching epic ‘Eh Janam Tumhare Lekhe’ spreads message of peace and humanity

A mesmerizing and heart-touching movie, the premiere of the humanitarian narrative by director Harjit Singh titled ‘Eh Janam Tumhare Lekhe’ was a massive hit. The star cast including Bollywood veteran Pawan Raj Malhotra, Arjuna Bhalla, Avrinder Kaur, Master Yuvraj, Sudhanshu Aggarwal, director Harjit Singh, Director of White Hill Production Manmord Sidhu and President of All India Pingalwara Charitable Society Bibi Inderjeet Kaur graced the special screening held at PVR Cinemas, Elante Mall here today.

 

Releasing worldwide on Friday, the much talked about movie from White Hill Productions and Poonieland Studio was appreciated for brilliantly portraying the life of a noble man who dedicated his whole life to humanity. Set in the post-partition era, ‘Eh Janam Tumhare Lekhe’ is based on the true story of the Bearded Mother Teresa of Punjab.

 

Pawan Raj Malhotra as Bhagat Puran Singh has done an excellent job and has brought life to the character through his charismatic acting. The noble Bhagat Puran Singh faces many challenges but still fights for providing shelter to the homeless people. “The movie is an important chapter in the history of Punjab. The tireless research makes it a very authentic and genuine attempt and the movie will make the audience cry. Bhagat Puran Singh Ji’s sacrifice, his austerity, his commitment have no match. I congratulate Pawan Malhotra ji who has so wonderfully played this role in the film,” said Bibi Inderjeet Kaur.

 

The canvas and cinematography of the film was appreciated by one and all. Director Harjit Singh informed, “The biggest USP of the period film is its look. If the look is weak then it is almost impossible to take the audience into that era. But the art direction of this film has really supported the story and the reason of this film to be made. I am happy to see the response that the premiere has got and I am sure that the audience will love this movie that spreads the message of peace and humanity.”

 

Composed by Gurmoh and Vicky Bhoi, the music of the film has already enthralled the audiences. A maiden venture of White Hill Productions newly-launched music label White Hill Music, the music is making waves all over. Producers Gunbir and Manmord Sidhu said, “The first ever project of their newly launched music company has made its place in the hearts of the people. This is a good omen. Singers like Diljit, Sukhwinder Singh, Harshdeep Kaur have really glorified Bhagat Puran Singh ji’s life with their voices.”
