Information and Broadcasting Ministry sanctions Rs 5 lakh scribe’s family

LUDHIANA:Union Information and Broadcasting Ministry has sanctioned a special grant of Rs five lakhs for Richa Jaitely, the wife of late Aditya Jaitely, a photojournalist with the Times of India, who died in a tragic road accident over two years ago. The orders to this effect were issued by the ministry in New Delhi recently.


Aditya Jaitely, 26 had died in a tragic road accident over two years ago on his way to Chandigarh. At that time he was working as a photojournalist with the Times of India. Aditya was the son of senior journalist Ashwani Journalist, Chief of Bureau Ajit Ludhiana.
Various social and journalistic organizations have expressed their gratitude to the Information and Broadcasting Minister Manish Tewari for the sanction of the grant. They acknowledged, it was because of his personal efforts that the matter was speeded up and the compensation was granted to the bereaved family.
