Paramjit Singh Kainth, National President of NSCA, in a statement issued here this evening making a frontal attack against the state government said that even as the scheduled castes having a population of 35 per cent in the total population of the state but they are living on the mercy of the state government.

Kainth alleged that though scheduled castes having contribution of 35 percent in the total population of the state but still they are lacking a quality and strong leadership to protect their own rights as all the political parties have developed dummy leaders for themselves among the state scheduled castes to earn votes for them and such leaders have no guts to raise any kind of voice in favour of state SC's. He exhorted the state SC's to raise above and forge unity to develop a new leadership for themselves.

Lashing against the Shiromani Akali Dal Chief and deputy chief minister, Sukhbir Singh Badal, Kainth alleged that Sukhbir under a conspiracy to weaken the scheduled castes in the state further had deputed one of his blue eyed bureaucrat for this task in the state welfare department, who following the directions and dictates of Sukhbir Badal trying to weaken SCs and thundered that NSCA will expose this nexus very soon as it has started the work for expose.

Hitting hard against state government he further said that see the state government's anti-scheduled castes face as it has not nominated a member from the scheduled castes community for Punjab Public Service Commission, even as the commission is meant to recruit class one and other officials for state government and obeying the reservation criteria in such recruitment. He said that how strange is the things in this government that it is not appointing a scheduled castes member for PPSC to safeguard the interests of the state scheduled castes.

Charging the state government for following anti-scheduled castes policies Kainth said that this government is not sincere in implementing the sub plan for the scheduled castes as at one point in a cabinet meeting hold in July last the government has accepted in principal to implement it but later on when two cabinet rank minister raised voice against it objected to it than it set up a another panel to look into it a fresh. He said that how strange are the things going so far till this panel has failed to conduct its any meeting which shows how sincere is state government towards scheduled castes.
