CHANDIGARH: Punjab Agriculture University, Ludhiana has planned to organise the Kisan Melas during the month of September, 2013 While disclosing this spokesman of Punjab Agriculture Department said that these Kisan Melas would be organised at the main campus of the university as well as its various regional stations/ krishi Vigayan Kendras. He said that in these melas scientists of the University would put up exhibitions and demonstrate various technologies for crop production and post harvest management.
Giving the schedule of the melas, he said that these melas would be organised at Ballowal Saunkhri on September 4th, Gurdaspur on September 6th, Faridkot on September 10th, Ludhiana on September 13th &14th, Patiala on 18th and Bathinda on September, 20 2013. He appealed the farmers to participate in these kisan melas and share their views with the scientists so that appropriate agricultural strategies could be involved for better crop yield.
