Chandigarh: Punjab Government has accorded the status of Chief Parliamentary Secretary to Assistant Media Advisor Government of Punjab Sh Vineet Joshi.

Punjab Bharatiya Janta Party’s (BJP) senior leader and National spokesperson of BJP Kisan Morcha Vineet Joshi has been accorded the status by the Governor of Punjab with immediate effect.

Joshi’s family has been closely associated with state BJP for the past two generations.His father advocate Jai Ram Joshi has been the state president ofChandigarhunit and is presently the member of National Council. His younger brother Saurabh Joshi is the municipal councilor atChandigarh.

Joshi himself has been active with various wings of the party for past twenty five years wherein during the terrorism time he worked for Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) in Punjab andChandigarhfor 11 years and for the past 10 years he is the media in-charge of BJP Punjab.

He is also the national spokesperson of BJP Kisan Morcha and earlier to it has been national spokesperson of BJP Youth Wing. He has been instrumental in highlighting the issues of Kisan Morcha amongst general public.

During the Bharat Suraksha Rath Yatra of BJP national president Rajnath Singh in 2006, he was the national media in-charge. Besides this, he has played pivotal role of being media in-charge during assembly elections of Punjab, Himachal Pradesh andJammu.
