Ludhiana--- The Punjab Revenue and Public Relations Minister Mr. Bikram Singh Majithia today demanded a Joint Parliamentary
Committee probe or inquiry by a Supreme Court Judge in alleged misdeeds of UPA Chairperson Sonia Gandhi’s son-in-law Robert Vadra. He said that the whole nation was eagerly waiting for the exposure of dubious land deals made by Mr. Vadra.
Interacting with media persons, Mr. Majithia said that Congress was adopting double standards as on one side it was supporting UP IAS Durga Shakti Nagpal and on the other an upright IAS officer Ashok Khemka was being targeted and marginalised for his exposure of Vadra land scams. He said that Congress led UPA was virtually on ventilator as it has been compelled to announce special packages to keep intact its pulse and pointed out that packages of Rs. 9000 crore and Rs. 13000 crore were issued for UP and Bihar respectively.
Taking to the task to Congress Ministers from Punjab in UPA government, Mr. Majithia dared them to show a single project, which they have got sanctioned for Punjab and accused them of playing destructive role. He asked Union I & B Minister Mr. Manish Tiwari that which industrial package he has got approved for Ludhiana and said that what Union Minister of state for Health Mrs. Santosh Chaudhary has done for Punjab except making hue and cry over Chief Minister’s picture at 108 Ambulance service. He said that Congress MPs have alsofailed in their duty to raise issues concerning state in Parliament,
Talking about the Food Security Bill Mr. Majithia said that Mr. Parkash Singh Badal had launched the Atta-Dal Scheme for the people of Punjab immediately after the formation of Akali-BJP government in the state and Congress leaders always criticised it at every platform. He said that now Congress led UPA Government was trying to copy this scheme in the name of food security bill. He added that intentions of Congress were not clear as bill of food security was being presented as a formality as it has no time to implement it. Mr. Majithia said that people were fully aware of corrupt practises of congress and they would teach them lesson in the coming elections.
