Alia Bhatt: Priyanka Chopra is my inspiration!

After Shraddha Kapoor’s Galliyan unplugged from Ek Villainbecame a hit, the 2 States actor is ready to croon to Main Tenu Samjhawan Unplugged in Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhania

Alia Bhatt seems to have taken up singing pretty seriously. She started singing under AR Rahman, when she sung Sooha saha for Highway and now she is all set to sing an unplugged version of Main tenu samjhawan from Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhania. She also hopes to come out with an album of her own someday. Sounding familiar? Yeah! She seems to be going the Priyanka Chopra way.

Talking to a leading daily the 2 States actor informs, “Priyanka Chopra is my inspiration. I may not be able to sing a pop song like In my city like her, but I could try something softer and personal. I love singing in the shower and even in the car. But, recording a song in the studio is a different ball game. I’d been humming the original sung by Rahat Fateh Ali Khan for the Punjabi film Virsa and loved the duet Arijit Singh and Shreya Ghosal had rendered for our film. But I didn’t try to ape either or try to match up knowing it was impossible. My Samjahawaan is a random, unplugged version–personal and relatable. Anyone listening to it will feel they can croon too. I can sing in every film. I was planning to train at Rahman Air’s school in Chennai but my work schedule doesn’t allow me the time at present.”
