Channel head honchos and production house bosses are either elated or most stressed on Thursdays, thanks to the TRPs and GRPs that predict the fate of shows and channels.

The Gross Rating Points (GRPs) this week suggest that Star Plus continues to lead the race with 312 points while Zee TV takes the second place with 189 (178). Colors retains the number three slot, which it had lost to Life OK at 166 (173) for some time now. However, Star Plus’s sister concern too isn’t far behind at 157 (151). Sony TV continues lag behind at 141 (142) and SAB TV follows at 132 (136).

Diya Aur Baati Hum continues to retain the Numero Uno position, however as far as the numbers are concerned, they have dropped from 4.4 to 4.2. Following closely on number two is Saath Nibhaana Saathiya, which has better on second spot from 3.2 last week to 3.9 this week. Jodha Akbar is going steady at number three with 3.6 ratings.

The rib-tickling Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah has progressed on fourth position with a decent jump from 2.9 to 3.3. The IIFA (International Indian Film Academy Awards) 2014 managed to grab eyeballs and was at number five and scored 3.1.

Mythological show Mahabharat dropped in ratings from 3.1 to 3 and stood at number 6, while Hina Khan’s Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai retained seventh slot with 2.9 points. Ishita and Raman who bagged six awards at a recently concluded award show for Yeh Hai Mohabbatein managed a ninth place, lost a few points and came from 3 to 2.7. Taking the tenth spot is Pyaar Ka Dard Hai Meetha Meetha Pyaara Pyaara with 2.4 ratings.
