The rumour mills are rife with a new and shocking rumour and we don’t know whether to believe it or not. We just heard that Deepika Singh, who plays Sandhya in Diya Aur Baati Hum four days back, slapped her co-star Anas Rashid (Suraj) for inappropriately touching her.

Apparently, the scene required Anas to hold Deepika from behind, but the actor forgot his cue and held her from front thus inappropriately touching her. Now it is still unclear whether it was on purpose or just an accident. Anyway, Deepika completed the shot and then went to the director to sound off her complaints and awkwardness. When the actress realised that no action was taken, she again went to the director to complain and while she was in conversation, Anas barged in and interfered in their talk. He started hurling abuses at Deepika and the actress lost her cool. She slapped him in front of the director and walked away.

Now we all know that the Anas and Deepika can’t see eye to eye and have always had this cold war between them, but this is taking it to a whole new level. In order to confirm our story we called up Kanika Maheshwari, who plays Meenakshi on the show. She said, “I don’t know anything about this incident. I have not been to the sets for the past three days as I was hospitalised.”
