Mr Perfectionist’s social hit show is back with its second season, which will go on air from March 2

Aamir Khan garnered appreciation for creating a debate on the country’s pressing social problems through Satyamev Jayate, that dealt with a number of hard hitting social topics.

The actor was appreciated for being associated with the show and bringing to light some grave social issues. Of course he received flak for his over emotional demeanour and tears. But then that’s how the actor is wired. Some of the issues raised in the show included female foeticide, healthcare scenario in India and domestic violence.

The first season of Satyamev Jayate, was shown on Star Plus along with Doordarshan’s DD National. The 13-episode season created a lot of buzz among the audience. The second season will also be shown on the same channel. The makers have decided to break the second season into three parts with each segment airing four shows on Sundays.

Aamir is currently basking in the success of his latest movie Dhoom 3, which was written in history for becoming the first Bollywood film to gross Rs 500 crore across the world.
