Why Jai Ho failed to take a good start?

January 27, 2014 10:02 AM

Salman Khan’s ‘Jai Ho’ was said to be one of the most awaited films of the year. The movie released on 24th Jan and it was expected that it will create a storm at the box-office. But, unfortunately the film has started on a disappointing note and has collected only Rs. 17.55cr on day one.

Well, let’s check out what might be the reasons that the film failed to take a good start at the box-office?

It is said that, when a film’s music is hit the movie has won its half race, but with ‘Jai Ho’ that wasn’t the case. ‘Jai Ho’ didn’t have any song that could be chartbusters. The music was outdated and it felt that the music directors Sajid-Wajid were not at all interested in giving the film a good music.

Daisy Shah, the heroine of the film was not at all reaching the level of Salman Khan. She has a broad body and looked elder than the actor in the film. One cannot regret that she is a good dancer, but it would have been better if the makers selected some other actress as a lead.

The outdated look of the film might have played as a hurdle at the box-office. While, watching the film, it feels that Sohail had forgotten which year he is directing the movie, as the look of the film is something which we saw in 80’s.
