Chandigarh--- Punjab Government has invited applications for State Award to Physically Handicaped-2013. Disclosing this here today Official Spokesperson of the Social Securities Department said that Punjab Government gives cash awards to the Physically handicapped persons, employees, sportspersons and organizations working for the welfare of the Handicapped persons.
- Applications should reach head office of the department by 15thoctober, 2013
- Applications received without the recommendation of district committee won’t be considered
Spokesperson said that eligible applicants could get specified Performa from the district offices of the Social Securities department. He said that district level committee is constituted under the chairmanship of Deputy Commissioner for this award.Spokesperson further said that applicants should send their applications recommended by the district committee to the head office of the Social Securities Department, Punjab by 15th October, 2013. He said that applications sent without the recommendation of the district committee would not be considered.
Spokesperson said that under the scheme of state award to Physically Handicapped, Rs 25000 per organisation are awarded to organizations/NGO’s working in the field of welfare of handicapped persons, Rs 5000 per person to Handicapped Sportspersons/Women for their personal qualification/achievements and Rs 10000 to employee/self-employee/personal of per category.
