Joshi reviews the ongoing projects of local bodies

CHANDIGARH---   Mr. Anil Joshi, Local Bodies Minister of Punjab today reviewed the ongoing projects of Local Bodies Department and asked the officials to provide all kind of possible help to people for regulization of illegal colonies across the state.

          Presiding over a maiden meeting of Department officials here today, Mr. Joshi asked them to make sure the maximum publicity of regulization policy to aware the people about its benefits in future. He said that the Punjab Government has implemented the most lenient policy mainly keeping in view the interests of common man and now the department would have to aware masses about it. He has also made it clear that no notice should be issued to the owners of colonies which were constructed before 1995.

          Mr. Joshi has also said that the department should pass the building plans and maps strictly in given time frame. Besides that the Minister has also directed the officials to start the process to fulfill all vacant posts in current month.

          To ease out the work process, 5 committees were also constituted by Mr. Joshi which would submit their reports within a month.  Principal Secretary has also been asked to take the review meeting monthly for proper implementation of departmental projects.

          CPS Mr. Som Parkash, Commissioners of all corporations and other senior Officials of the department were also present in the meeting
