Move begins for the formation of Dalit Panchayat in Punjab

Chandigarh--   keeping in view the difficulties being faced by the dalit's in Punjab now a fresh move has been initiated to provide a platform to dalit's of the state to fight out injustice against them and this platform is said to be known as Dalit Panchayat. Paramjit Singh Kainth,  president of the National Scheduled Castes Alliance (NSCA),  while took lid from this new political development in the state, in a statement issued here today further said that a decision to this effect has been taken and the move is put into action over it. He said that the move has been initiated by his Party along with the able support of the Lok Jan Shakti (LJS) party and the state president of that party, Kiranjeet Singh Ghehri has been intrusted with this task and contact's has been established with the dalit's leaders belonged to the different political party's in the state.

Meeting called at Bathinda on October 2 to discuss the agenda

Kainth further told that besides his party the leaders of the Lok Jan Shakti party and the chairman of the National Dalit Council of India, Lachman Dass Jatti have given their consent to attend the meeting in this connection at Bathinda on October 2. He said that the meeting in this connection will be organized at the Ambedkar Bhawan, Bathinda on 10 am. He said that the meeting will deliberate on the agenda concerning the dalit's mainly includes atrocities against the scheduled castes, post matric scholorship scheme, scheduled castes sub plan and many other hot issues regarding the state scheduled castes.
He said that idea behind the formation of dalit panchayat is to provide a more wider platform to the state scheduled castes to get relief from their problems in connection with their problems.
 
 
Mean while the state president of the Lok Jan Shakti Party, Kiranjit Singh Ghehri ,who is coordinating the formation move, said that the invitations have been sent to leaders of different political parties and also to the non political organizations in this connection and after debating the agenda in the meeting final shape of the organization will come forward.
