Chandigarh-- The Punjab government would soon chalk out a comprehensive plan to boost beekeeping as an allied profession of agriculture in the State and the government, in order to encourage youth to adopt bee keeping as a business enterprise, has also organized free training camps for the beekeepers.
Stating this here today Mr. Gurbachan Singh Babbehali, Chief Parliamentary Secretary Agriculture said that the unemployed youth willing to take up beekeeping as a venture could get them enrolled for free training with Punjab Agriculture University Ludhiana. The interested youth could register their names duly recommended by the District Horticulture officer concerned by October 15.
Adding further he said that it was imperative to get hi-tech training in the field of beekeeping to avail financial assistance on special 8-framed boxes exclusively meant for keeping bees
