Chandigarh, May 22: Sukhbir Singh Badal, President Shiromani Akali Dal and Deputy Chief Minister Punjab today rubbished the charge of PPCC President Partap Singh Bajwa regarding rigging in the Zila Parishad and Block Samiti polls and said that  the winning of 639 Congress and other non Akali candidates in these elections besides majority achieved by opposition party in Talwara Blcok Samiti reflects the total fairness and transparency in the most elaborate election exercise conducted in the rural heartland of Punjab.

Thanking the people of Punjab for reposing unflinching faith in the progressive policies of SAD-BJP government, Badal said that the SAD that remains with the electorate through thick and thin understands their pulse and evolves its programmes and policies according to the felt need of masses whereas Congress party is a ‘party of aliens, headed by aliens and perhaps was working for aliens’.

. Badal said that in a  most comprehensive electoral exercise that is set to change the face of rural areas, out of 331 Zila Parishad seats in the state the Congress  and others have won on 32 seats whereas in Block Samiti polls out of total 2731 seats Congress and other candidates have won 607 seats. Do all these 639 candidates of Bajwa brigade have won by rigging the elections? He questioned Mr. Bajwa.

The SAD President said that the Zila Parishad and Block Samiti polls reflected the hard reality that during the tenure of Partap Singh Bajwa the seat share of Congress party that was 40 percent in Vidhan Sabha polls has come down to its half 20.8 percent. He said that these cold statistical figures are showing a mirror to Congress leadership that within one year your rural mass base has halfed and in Lok Sabha elections it is all set to touch big zero level.

Describing the Zila Parishad and Block Samiti polls as trailer for Lok Sabha election, Badal said that Congress party is all set to be consigned to history by the vigilant voters of India in general and Punjab in particular as they are itching to teach life time lesson to most corrupt party of the World.
