Chandigarh, May 22: Admission to the first year Diploma Courses under the Sikh Minority Quota at Guru Nanak Dev Polytechnic College, Ludhiana and Baba Banda Singh Bahadur Polytechnic College, Fatehgarh Sahib would be held on 26th and 27th may 2013.
A spokesman of the the Punjab State Board of Technical Education and Industrial Training today said that the admission procedure would take place in the premises of Guru Nanak Dev Polytechnic College Ludhiana. The candidates seeking admission under this quota having appeared in JET 2013 and should have passed the religious test conducted by SGPC Amritsar has been directed to fill an application form on the spot at the venue of admission, he added.
The spokesman further said that on May 26 the admission process for 15 percent all India quota would start at8.30 am, followed by 85 percent Punjab quota (all reserved categories excluding SC/ST) at 9.30 am. He said that admission for Punjab general category (Rural) would be made from 2 pm onwards on the same day.
He said that on the next day which would be May 27 , the admission process would start at 8.30 am for Punjab general (urban category). At 10 am admissions for 85 percent Punjab (SC/ST category) would take place. After that the seats remaining vacant out of the SC/ST category would be converted and filled out of the candidates from general category (Urban Category). The spokesman also said that the candidates must bring their original certificates including JET admit card and result card at the time for admission. For rural seats candidates must bring completed from No 11 available in the prospect at the page No 52 and they should have to deposit the complete fee at the time of admission.
