Chandigarh: All necessary arrangements have been finalised by the Punjab Government for the visit of 14th Finance Commission team, that will visit the Punjab from 5th to 7th September, 2013.
Divulging this here today, an official spokesperson said that team of 17 members under the chairmanship of Dr. Y.V.Reddy would meet the representatives of rural & urban local bodies of the state and representatives of trade & industry on 6th September afternoon. Local Bodies Department and Department of Rural Development and Panchayats besides Industry Department would give their separate presentation to the Finance Commission.
He said that the team would also hold meeting with Chief Minister Parkash Singh Badal along with other cabinet ministers and officers of the state on 7th September. The 14th Finance Commission has also convened a meeting of representatives of different political parties to elicit their views.
The team of 14th Finance Commission includes Chairman Dr. Y.V.Reddy besides its members Prof. Abhijit Sen, Ms. Sushma Nath, Dr. M.Govinda Rao and Dr. Sudipto Mundle. The official team accompanying the Commission includes Ajay Narayan Jha Secretary, V.S. Senthil, M.S. Bhatia, Pinaki Chakraborty, Ashutosh Joshi, Deepak Narain, Sahilesh Kumar, Ritesh Kumar, Sube Singh, Sunita Guglani, Balbir Singh and Prayag Kumar.
