Chandigarh: The Punjab Chief Minster Mr. Parkash Singh Badal today strongly condemned the utterances of the Ms. Neelam Dubey, Media Advisor of the Asaram Trust, in which she had made “highly objectionable and hurtful” references to Sikh history and especially the venerable Sikh gurus.
In a statement here, Mr. Badal said that these utterances had hurt the religious sentiments of the entire Sikh community and of millions of others who held the Gurus in the highest spiritual esteem. These utterances should be immediately withdrawn.
The Chief Minister said that nobody should do or say anything that can endanger the hard earned atmosphere of peace and communal harmony. He said that no one should be allowed to make ill-advised statements on sensitive religious issues without verifying historical facts.
