The capital city actress, Huma Qureshi, is seen in several ads before starting her Bollywood journey in “Gangs of Wasseypur”. Before working in the movie with Anurag Kashyap, she was seen in an ad with him. It was the moment when Anurag casted her in his film. That is how Huma Qureshi got her first movie.

She was praised for her acting and received unanimous critical acclamation for playing the role of Mohsina. Censor Rajeev Masand said,” As with the previous film, this follow-up too is richer from the unblemished performances of its wonderful collection – be it Richa Chadha as the tough matriarch or Huma Qureshi as the spirited Mohsina.”

Huma was to begin her debut differing Ajith in Billa II. However, she rejected the film due to some dates concern. In the year 2012, she was admired with a Special Label by the Jury at the Indian Film Festival of Los Angeles in 2012. She was admired for her recital as the ostensible character in the short movie Sujata.

Before “Gangs of Wasseypur” was released, she got new films namely – Ek Thi Daayan, Luv Shuv Tey Chicken Khurana and Nikhil Advani’s D Day.
