Despite of being from a filmy background, the actress is determined to carve her own way. She wishes to marks her identity without any favor from her father. Sonam feels that scope for development under a banyan tree is dreary.

“I feel there’s very less that can grow under a banyan tree. So, I am trying to make my own way and I am successful in doing it,” said the charming 28 year old actress in an interview.

In her bollywood career of 11 movies, she has recently given a hit “Raanjhanaa” adding to her recognition, Sonam Kapoor has evaded taking back ride on her father’s shoulders.

“Very considerately I have tried not to do much with my father, as I just want my own individuality. The movie ‘Aisha’ was a production of Rhea (Sonam’s sister). It was her first movie. I not at all said my father to do this favor. I think I have a man’s ego in a lot of ways,” she said.

Yes definitely Sonam, this ego can lead you a long way……..
