Eggless Custard thumbprint jam cookies

METHOD

 
  1. Pre-heat the oven to 350 degree F.
  2. Line a baking sheet over a baking tray and keep it aside.
  3. Sift together the all-purpose flour and custard powder.
  4. Add the vanilla extract. Keep aside.
  5. Whisk the butter and confectioner's sugar together until they turn creamy.
  6. Add the flour-custard powder mixture and gently mix until a soft dough is formed.
  7. Shape the dough into small walnut-sized balls and flatten them gently. Place them on the lined baking tray.
  8. Make an indentation in the middle of the each cookie and bake them for 15-20 minutes.
  9. Meanwhile, heat enough strawberry jam in a microwave oven for a few seconds.
  10. Once the cookies get cooled, fill the cookies with the melted jam.
  11. Enjoy with a cup of tea.
