Deepika is no stranger to wearing heavy weight outfit for a movie. ‘Goliyon Ki Raasleela: Ram-Leela’, saw her dancing in a 30 kg Ghaghra and now she does some heavy lifting with a 20 kg armour for Sanjay Leela Bansali’s ‘Bajirao Mastani’.
The actress will be seen wearing the armour for the battle sequences. She plays the role of a courtesan who fought in battles. Deepika is also learning sword fighting and martial arts for the film. She is undergoing training to pull off her heavy outfit.
She is once again paired with her Ram –Leela co star Ranveer Singh in this historical romance film. Bajirao Mastani is scheduled for release on 25 December 2015.
