Mahesh Bhatt feels Khamoshiyan, the upcoming supernatural drama from his production house, has the potential to become a franchise like Raaz and Murder.
“Khamoshiyan is the new age erotic supernatural narrative. It takes a quantum leap from our super successful franchise of the Raaz series and adds more VFX magic to that idiom. The Khamoshiyan franchise is here to stay,” Bhatt said in a statement.
Khamoshiyan stars Television heartthrob Gurmeet Choudhary, debutant Sapna Pabbi and Ali Fazal and is set to release on January 30.
The film, being presented by Fox Star Studios, revolves around a young novelist who meets a mysterious woman while staying at her isolated guest-house to finish his book.
