Here’s why Sanjay Dutt couldn’t attend Salman Khan’s Birthday bash

Salman Khan turned 49 yesterday and we had most of our Bollywood bigwigscelebrating the Khan’s birthday in full swing at his Panvel farmhouse. From Priyanka Chopra to Karan Johar, the celebrations shot up being one of the biggest events of the year. However, amidst all of this, Sanjay Dutt stood missing from the expected lot, at the party. Despite being currently out on 14days parole, the Munnabhai actor didn’t turn up for his best friend’s birthday. You ask why? Well, we’ll tell you.

Apparently, it has all surfaced from Sanjay’s recent outing to the special screening of Aamir Khan starrer, PK. The Maharashtra government is looking into the repeated reprieve being given to Dutt from his jail sentence. The authorities are suspecting if the actor has been relieved for New Year vacation. Hence, the actor wants to safeguard his temporary freedom by prohibiting all the party invites or anything that grabs news.

Speaking of which, a source reasoned, “The reports stating the Maharashtra government is looking into his repeated furlough, completely freaked out Sanju. Sanju and his family feel his furlough may be cancelled. He has therefore decided to keep a completely low profile for the two weeks that he is out. Salman Khan was very keen to invite Sanju to his week-long birthday bash in Panvel. But considering the suspicion with which Sanju’s furlough is being viewed, the Dutt family has decided that Sanju will stay home. Only selected friends would be allowed to visit.”

Another source backed it by saying, “The family doesn’t want Sanju to do anything that would compromise his time outside prison. He just wants to be with his wife, children, sisters and brothers-in-law for a fortnight and then quietly return to jail.”
