Sonam Kapoor is playing the character of Milli in the movie 'Khoobsurat' and she is exceptionally lively, cheerful and full of love. Milli is a doctor; a physiotherapist.

She draws more light on her character giving a detailed insight of the movie scenes. Sonam elaborated further saying that, although Milli is a doctor yet she cannot treat those patients who themselves do not have the urge to become fit and fine again. The atmosphere encircling the patient is very crucial.

In fact, she actually spoke to a number of doctors to get their professional advices. She learned that if the atmosphere around the patient is negative, low, unhappy and not cheerful then it directly affects the healing course of the patient or there are even chances that the patient would not show any progression. She also added that whatsoever may be the disease or suffering of the patient, it is very important to have that feeling of living life cheerfully and not being sad having no hopes in your own self as well as others. 

Milli is a doctor who believes that one should have the correct attitude to deal with various patients. The atmosphere around the patients should be ’Khoobsurat’ so that the patients feel lively and restores the hope to live life cheerfully. 

Sonam also exposes another character of her movie whose name is Raja. Raja meets with an accident and looses the tendency to walk. When they analyze Raja, they discover that there is nothing so intensely wrong with his legs but he himself has lost the desire to walk because he feels there is nothing left in his life that he should start walking and living life all over again. To treat Raja, Milli has to change the environment and also the state of his mind. In the process of curing Raja, she falls in love. It is a very simple love story but beautifully composed.
