Chief cane development officer nabbed with the bribe money of 1 Lac

Chandigarh, The Vigilance Bureau Punjab has achieved a major breakthrough when chief cane development was trapped with the bribe money of Rs. 1 lac. Disclosing this here today an official spokesperson of the vigilance bureau said that Mr. Jarmej Singh Rara, Chief Cane Officer B Fazilka, Co-operative Sugar Mill, Modiwala Pitha was nabbed on the complaint of Mr. Jaspinder Singh s/o  Surjit Singh resident of Daulatpura, Tehsil Abohar, district Fazilka.


He said that Jaspinder Singh lodged a complaint against Jarmej Singh for demanding bribe of Rs. 1.50 lac from him for registering statement in his favour in a case which was filed against him (Jaspinder Singh) during Panchayat election 2013. He said that finally the deal was matured for Rs. 1 lac. The spokesman further said that Jagdish Singh DSP made a raid in to the house of Jarmej Singh and arrested him with the bribe money of Rs. 1 lac.
