15 Mega projects worth Rs. 2267 crore commenced production in Punjab: Mittal

Chandigarh, The Punjab today took a baby step towards becoming most industrialized state with the commercial commissioning of the 15 mega projects that have been completed at the cost of Rs.2266.67 crore.

Disclosing this here today, Industry & Commerce Minister Mr. Madan Mohan Mittal said that the timely commissioning of all these mega projects could be ensured by micro planning at every level besides follow up and monitoring of their clearances at every level. He said that he was regularly monitoring the implementation of all projects in the state and this review was also being conducted at the highest level. He said that Punjab government has activated total administrative machinery to ensure timely completion of these projects.

He said that among the mega projects which have started their operations included Arti International of 242.06 crores’ investment,   Shiva Fibers of 145.71 crores’ investment, Valabh Textiles Company of 124.71 crores’ investment, Kaur Sen Spiners of 120 crores’ investment, Vardhman Texgarments of 25.45 crores’ investment (all situated at Ludhiana), Madhav Oils, Patiala of 110 crores’ investment, Chadda Sugars, Gurdaspur of 300 crores’ Nahar Spinning Mills, Jitwan Kalan, Malerkotla of 253.22 crores’ investment, Max India, Nawan Sahar of 145 crores’ investment, Garg Acrylics, Ludhiana of cost 210 crore investment, Sportking India, Bathinda of cost 121.95 crores’ investment, Valabh Inplate, Rajpura of cost 121.95 crores’ investment, Piccadly Hotel, Ludhiana of cost 155 crores’ investment, H K Inter Continental Unit of Deluxe Leasing of cost 10.35 and Alstonia Unit of Nijjer Hotels, Amritsar of cost 11.07 crores’ investment.
