Ex-MD, Co-Operative Bank convicted in the case of graft

CHANDIGARHThe Hon’ble court of Additional Sessions Judge, Amritisar convicted Mr. Surinder Pal Singh Chinna, Ex-MD, Co-operative Bank in the case of bribery.

 

Disclosing this here today an official spokesperson of the vigilance bureau, Punjab said that Surinder Pal Singh Chinna, Ex-MD, Co-operative Bank was trapped while taking bribe amounting to Rs. 13.25 lacs. He said that FIR No. No. 25/2002 and 26/2002 under Prevention of Corruption Act was registered against him by Vigilance Bureau, Amritsar.  He said that the Hon’ble court found Surinder  Pal  Singh  Chinna,  Ex-MD, Co-operative Bank guilty of receiving bribe amounting to Rs. 13.25 lacs for enrolling ‘Data Entry Operators’ and ‘Peons‘ in Co-operative Bank, Amritsar
