CHANDIGARH: The Punjab Government today suspended a forester and a forest guard for the negligence of duty with immediate effect.

Disclosing this here today, Mr. Chunni Lal Bhagat, Forest and Wild Life Minister informed that Mr. Daljit Singh, Forester and Mr. Pritpal Singh, Forest Guard of district Gurdaspur have been placed under suspension for their suspicious role in the illegal cutting of 22 trees in Ghania ke bet Jungle. Mr. Bhagat said that the laxity in official work would not be tolerated at any cost.
