CHANDIGARH: The Punjab is on the threshold of industrialization as the major players in the field of industry have shown keen interest to invest in Punjab; at the same time the Punjab Government is providing all the basic ingredients to facilitate the industrial boom in the state.
· Shakti Sharma assumes charge of PSIEC Chairman
It was stated by Mr. Madal Mohal Mittal, Industries Minister, Punjab after assuming charge ceremony of Mr. Shakti Sharma as Chairman of Punjab Small Industries and Export Corporation (PSIEC) here today. Interacting with the scribes, Mr. Mittal said that under the able guidance of Chief Minister Mr. Parkash Singh Badal and Deputy Chief Minister Mr. Sukhbir Singh Badal, the state government has successfully organized Progressive Punjab Investors Summit to showcase the potential and opportunities in the state for industry growth.
He reiterated that the Punjab Government is committed to provide a much needed impetus to the small and medium industries. Terming the industries a back bone of the economic health of the state, he said that Mr. Shakti Sharma is fully acquainted with the problems and demands of the industry. Prominent amongst other, who were present on the occasion included Mr. Tikshan Sood, Political Advisor, Chief Minister, Mr. Vineet Joshi, Assistant Media Advisor, Mr. Balwinder Singh Bains, MLA, Mr. Harcharn Singh Gohalwaria, Mayor, Municipal Corporation, Ludhiana and Mr. Mukesh Kalia, Member, Punjab Protection of Child Rights’ Commission.
