CHANDIGARH: The Punjab Government has sought complete details of the officials of different departments to constitute teams for roster register checking. In the directions issued to all departments in this regard, it has been told that details should be furnished to Welfare department well in time to implement reservation policy in the government appointment and promotions.

Disclosing this here today, an official Spokesperson of the Welfare Department said that roster register checking teams are being
constituted in different departments to give requisite representation to schedule castes and backward classes in the government services. He further said that the departments have been told to submit the designation, office address and mobile number of the officers, two from general category and two from schedule castes of not less the rank of Joint Director, Assistant Director and Additional Director of their Directorate. He also said that instructions in this regard have already been sent to the heads of all the departments.
