Chandigarh: To commemorate the death anniversary of Sardar Ballav bhai Patel, “Run for Unity” would be field inChandigarh on Sunday, 15 December, 2013. The run is part of the national programme being held under the dynamic vision of Mr Narinder Bhai Modi, Chief Minister of Gujarat.
Under this programme, an iron collection committee has been formed which would collect iron from all households in Indiato build an iron statue of Sardar Patel in Gujarat, which would be twice the height of the STATUE OF LIBERTY. The “Run for Unity” is the starting of the above programme, which would be held simultaneously all over the country on 15th December, 2013. InChandigarh, the run would be held at Sukhna Lake at 9 am.
Convener of Run for Unity Mr. Mahesh Inder Singh Sidhu informed that Army Chief General (Retd) V P Malik will flag of this rally allow with Mr O P Dhankar National President of BJP Kisan Morcha, Chandigarh Police IG Mr R P Upadhaya. He told that in this Marathon all the Chandigarh BJP unit, Distt, Mandal, Morcha, Cell activities, all Art of living, Pitanjali Yogpith, various NGO, various School-Colleges Students will also participate in mega Marathon and BJP Chandigarh Unity State President Sh. Sanjay Tandon also appeals to the City beautiful people to join this mega Marathon.
