Arch rivals India and Pakistan to vie for title

LUDHIANA: The stage for grand finale of 4th World Cup Kabaddi-2013 is all set at Guru Nanak Stadium,Ludhiana, where both strong Kabaddi teams including hostIndia andPakistan would vie for the title. This would be a coincidence and matter of great pride that where both India and Pakistan teams would vie for the title there Premiers of Pakistan Punjab’s Chief Minister Mr. Shahbaz Sharif and Punjab CM Mr. Parkash Singh Badal would be preside over the final of kabaddi cup, which would give further momentum the efforts being made by Punjab Deputy Chief Minister Mr. Sukhbir Singh Badal to enlist Kabaddi in Olympics.

The presence of both Chief Ministers would also give further strength to bilateral trade, cultural, tourism and sports ties. Mian Shahbaz Sharif, Mr. Parkash Singh Badal, Deputy CM Mr. Sukhbir Singh Badal would distribute the prizes to the winners and runners-up. Bollywood star Ranbir Singh would regale the audience with his stage performance. It was worth mentioning thatLudhianahas been continuously hosting this prestigious final of Kabaddi World Cup for the last four years. The last three World Cup i.e.2010, 2011 and 2013 were held at Ludhiana where the Indian Team Men was registered victories by trouncing Pakistan twice and Canada once respectively in 2010, 2011 and 2012. ThePakistanteam has also entered into the final third time by defeatingUnited States.

 

This would be the toughest match of the world cup as the duo teams have world’s strong players. Indian team includes Captain Sukhbir Sarawan, Mangat Singh Mangi, Gurpreet Gopi and new stars of Kabaddi Sultan, Gurmeet Mandian whilePakistanteam has Captain Babar Gujjar, Lala Abaidulla and Akmal Dogar. The winner team would get cash prize of Rs. 2 crore whereas the runners-up would be awarded with Rs. 1 crore. The best raider and stopper would be awarded with Preet Tractors.
