Desh Bhagat University signs MoU with University of Afghanistan

S.A.S.NAGAR:Desh BhagatUniversityin its ongoing endeavor to promote Innovation, Research and Entrepreneurship of International standards signed a Memorandum of Understanding with Mashal University of Afghanistan. The MoU was signed by Vice-Chancellor of Mashal University, Mr. G.S. Mohammadi who had visited the university as head of an Afghan delegation.

 

While welcoming the Afghan delegationProVice-ChancellorDeshBhagatUniversity, Dr. Shalini Gupta said that the aim of this educational exchange programme is to provide opportunities to the students and faculty of the two universities to interact with each other on important national and international economic, social, cultural and educational issues.

 

Chancellor ofDeshBhagatUniversity, Dr. Zora Singh said thatIndiaandAfghanistanare not only close neighbors but also share rich cultural ties. Both the countries have already much in common with each other and now we are going to lay the foundation of educational ties between the two universities through this educational exchange programme. He declared that such educational exchange programmes prepared the youth for global challenges, responsibilities and opportunities.

 

Vice Chancellor of Afghan University Dr. G.S.Mohammadi said that MoU between the two universities will strengthen the relations between both countries and students of both sides will get a chance to learn in international academia. Pro Chancellor of the university Tajinder Kaur remarked that DBU has the educational and infrastructural facilities of international standard and students coming from abroad are provided homely environment to enable them pursue their courses in the best possible way.

 

Speaking on the occasion,RegistrarDeshBhagatUniversity, Dr.Virinder Singh expressed the hope that their visit toIndiain general and toDeshBhagatUniversityin particular will prove quite fruitful and they will return to their respective countries with lot of knowledge, exposure and sweet memories.

 

Faculty and students ofDeshBhagatUniversityinteracted with the delegates on different topics like leadership, management, knowledge capital, emerging trends in professional education and cultural matters. The delegates expressed pleasure and satisfaction over the visit saying that it will add to their knowledge and experience.
