Gurdaspur: Mr. Fateh Jung Singh Bajwa General Secretary PPCC today lashed out at Deputy Chief Minister Mr. Sukhbir Singh Badal for engaging film stars to make them ambassadors of SAD-BJP government for various welfare schemes. In a statement issued here S. Fateh Jung Singh Bajwa said that it was clear from the cabinet decision on film stars that the SAD-BJP government had lost its credibility and trust of the people. He said that people ofPunjabhad no faith in Chief Minister Mr. Parkash Singh Badal and Deputy Chief Minister.

He said that it was shocking that SAD-BJP government had decided to pay hefty amount to film stars to restore its credibility but it would an exercise in vain. Mr. Fateh Bajwa said that SAD and BJP both the parties had no guts to face the public and they have conceded the failure of government on all fronts. He said that Mr. Sukhbir Badal was wasting public funds on his whims and fancies on such gimmicks and feeding an army of media advisors to counter the onslaught of Congress party. He said that Congress had exposed the misdeeds of Badal family and engaging films tars would be an attempt to cover the failures and scams of this government.

Mr. Bajwa further said that no industrialist would like to invest in Punjabunless a congenial environment is not created. The SAD-BJP government had failed on law and order front, the heavy taxes, high power rates and corruption have forced the existing industry to flee fromPunjab. He said that a ‘Gunda Raj’ prevailed inPunjab where ruling party leaders are harbouring gangsters and police was working under political pressure. He cited the example of Talwandi Sabo where a SAD leader was arrested along with four dreaded criminals on the charge of harbouring them. He said that a SAD minister was protecting these gangsters.

He said that Mr. Badal had closed his eyes from all the ills in his government and given free hand to his son. He said that mining, mafia, land mafia, liquor mafia, transport mafia and drug mafia had taken over control of government and no justice is expected for common people.
