Chandigarh-- Punjab is all set to realize industrial revolution in the State with Deputy Chief Minister Mr. Sukhbir Singh Badal today finalizing a plan under “Progressive Punjab-Investors Meet” which he would lead a delegation to Bengaluru, Taiwan, Delhi and Mumbai to woo industrial giants for setting up of their units in the State.In a high level meeting here today Mr. Sukhbir Singh Badal said Punjab had fixed a target of Rs. 10 lakh crore investment in coming two years. Meanwhile at the meeting, Mr Badal gave his nod to hold an industrial meet in Bengaluru on October 1st, Taiwan from October 6 to 10, Delhi on October 17 and Mumbai on October 23.
Mr. Badal said that he would personally meet and apprise the CEOs and MDs of top Indian and Taiwanese industry about the incentives being offered to the industry by Punjab. He said as Punjab’s industrial policy had received a massive response from the industry sector, now the State would launch a sustained campaign campaign to showcase the facilities being provided to industries to usher a new era of development. He said that the Punjab Government would provide all clearances online from November this.
Describing Punjab an easiest investment destination in the country, Mr. Badal said the State was on the verge of realizing its dream of Industrial Revolution while 90 percent of its Power Surplus dream had been achieved as three units of under construction thermal plants would be operational by December this year. He said that after December, the power tariff would automatically decrease in the state.
