Chandigarh-- Chief Electoral Officer, Punjab today appointed Divisional Commissioners as Role Observers for the districts falling in their respective divisions. Presiding over a high level meeting Chief Election Commissioner received the revision of voter lists in different assembly constituencies. He also briefed the Commissioners of various directions issued by the Election Commission of India.
It was informed in the meeting the concerned commissioner would at least make three visits to all the districts falling in their divisions during division of voter lists and personally inspect the working. It was also informed that the commissioner had to sent three Reports to Election Commission of India. The first report immediately after October 4, second report would be sent after disposed of claims and objections and 3rd report would be sent after the final publication of voter lists.
