Chandigarh -----     Aryans Group of Colleges, Chandigarh organized annual cultural extravaganza “Rajni” at Lobana Bhawan, Sec 30 A, Chandigarh today. Mr G D  Pandey, DGP cum Comdt. Gen1, PHG, Punjab was the Chief Guest where as Mr M K Bedi, ZM, Dena Bank was the Guest of Honour on the occasion. Dr. Anshu Kataria, Chairman, Aryans Group  presided over the function. B.Tech, M.Tech, MBA, BBA, BCA, B.Ed, BA, B.Com, Polytechnic, Nursing students of Aryans Group participated in the cultural items. Students of Aryans Group presented a colorful cultural programme which included Bhangra, Giddha, Western Dance, Punjabi dance, fusion, skits, mime, mimicry, Bollywood Style, folk dance, etc.

The function commenced with the lamp lighting ceremony by the Chief Guest. Many cultural activities were performed like Contemporary dance by Priyanka and group, Bhangra by Gurvinder and  group, Salsa by Akshay and Group, Singing  by Raheel and group, Lavani by Harpreet & group, Mime against Ragging etc. Various other performances like Bolly Fusion by Hemant and group, Comedy Circus by Piyush and Group,Batmeez Dance by Faaiz and group etc were there which made the atmosphere extremely energetic. The viewers were on their feet once again while the singers too danced while performing on stage.



Dr. Anshu Kataria said that besides studies, extra cocurricular activities are equally important. They help in the overall development of the students. Cultural activities play an important role in order to reduce the stress of the students. Also present on the occasion were  Mr A K Gandhi, President CMA,  Advocate B D Girdhar, Sardar  Ranjit Singh. Prof. D. C.
