CM issues appreciation letters to 338 officers deputed for Uttarakhand relief operations

Chandigarh: Punjab Chief Minister Mr. Parkash Singh Badal has issued appreciation letters to 338 officers and officials of the state government for their hard work and exemplary courage exhibited by them in carrying out the relief and rescue operations during the recent floods in Uttarakhand.


In the appreciation letters to these officers from the Education, Health, Police, Information and Public Relations Department, the Chief Minister has patted them by asserting that, “You were deputed by the Government of Punjab for an extraordinary task to carry out relief and rescue operations during recent floods in Uttarakhand. The task was indeed challenging.


The Punjab Government's Rescue Teams were able to save many lives. A large number of stranded pilgrims/tourists were evacuated and safely brought back to their homes. This has been possible due to your hard work and exemplary courage”.
