Chandigarh: Shiromani Akali Dal President and Deputy Chief Minister Punjab Sukhbir Singh Badal today welcomed the BJP's decision to announce Gujarat Chief Minister Narindra Modi as its prime ministerial candidate.
Reacting to the development here, Mr Badal said the BJP has made the right decision and that the SAD welcomed the development whole heartedly.The SAD President while congratulating Mr. Modi, said people of the country were eager to topple the directionless Congress led UPA government. He assured theGujarat chief minister that the SAD was steadfast in its support to his candidature.
