LUDHIANA:Mr. Sukhbir Singh Badal, Deputy Chief Minister, Punjab today announced that all clearances required for establishment of new colonies in the state would be provided online from October 15 to facilitate the colonisers and house holders besides curbing the mushrooming of unauthorised colonies.
Accompanied by Mr. Chuni Lal Bhagat, Local Bodies Minister, Mr. Bikram Singh Majithia, Revenue Minister, Mr. Sharanjit Singh Dhillon, PWD Minister and Mr. Kamal Sharma, President Punjab BJP, Mr. Badal was presiding over a function organised by the Punjab Colonisers and Property Dealers Association to extend thanks to Deputy CM for bringing a comprehensive policy to regularise all the illegal colonies in a systematic way. The Deputy CM said he had directed PUDA as well as the Housing Department to come out with an online portal before the first week of October to provide online clearances including CLUs, map certification and other requirements to carve out new colonies. He said that from October onwards all such certifications would be provided online within a month after filing of application.

Thanking office bearers of Punjab Colonisers and Property Dealers Association for cooperating with the Punjab government to regularise illegal colonies, Mr. Badal said, "Punjab is our own house and we all should make it clean and green, which would be a gift for our coming generations." Giving a call to colonisers and property dealers to file applications before the last date to get their colonies regularised, Mr. Badal said the Punjab Congress was trying to mislead the people of Punjab through false propaganda.
