Asaram's supporters protest against his arrest
JALANDHAR: Commissionerate Police rounded up more than one hundred Asaram supporters who gathered at Tanda Road railway crossing to disrupt smooth railway traffic Tuesday in protest against the arrest of Asaram lodged in Jodhpur jail for sexual assault on a 16 year old minor girl student. 
 
Earlier, they took out a protest march from Harnamdaspura to Gazigulla railway crossing passing through Tanda road to detain trains.
 
Heavy police contingents led by ADCP City I Naresh Dogra had a tough time to pursue the protestors especially the women folk to disperse but the protesters remained adamant on their plan to stop trains following which the police took several protesters in its custody and took them to Navi Baradari police station police station where they were let off.
