Women power evident before Panjab University polls

Chandigarh: With the polls nearing in Panjab University, Chandigarh, women have started making their power felt. The elections of Panjab University (PU) Students’ Council, is scheduled for September 4. 

There are signs of a noteworthy change in the mentality of person conglomerations as a far more terrific number of girl scholars are challenging for top posts in decisions, prior recognized to be restrictive to male learners.

 

The vast majority of the person political conglomerations vying for the decisions have set up young lady applicants for the pined for posts of president, general secretary and VP.

 

While Students Federation of India (SFI) had set up Navjot Kaur for the post of president, Indian National Students Organization (INSO)- Panjab University Students Union (PUSU)- Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) have mutually set up Abha Sharma and Disha Arora for the posts of general secretary and VP, separately.

 

Two more girls, specifically Akanksha Sood of Students Organization of Panjab University (SOPU)-Students Of India (SOI) - Haryana Students Association (HSA) - Himachal Pradesh Students Union (HPSU) collusion and Vidhi Bhugra of National Students Union of India (NSUI) - Himachal Students Union (HIMSU) join, are additionally challenging for the post of VP.
