Mosque in Quebec vandalised with possible pig blood

CHICOUTIMI, Quebec: Police in Quebec's Saguenay district have been brought in after a nearby mosque was vandalized during the weekend and it was splattered with what could be pig blood.

 

Representatives of the zone's minor Muslim neighborhood stated that it might have been an isolated event and the same was affirmed by Saguenay Mayor Jean Tremblay.

 

Tremblay was confirmed as saying that the incident shocked him completely and it just expressed sheer narrow mindedness against a position of love.

 

The mayor demanded that generally neighborhood occupants might likewise be dismayed by the ambush.

 

He said in a meeting, “That is not the mentality individuals in the district have... All it takes is one or two blockheads for something like this to happen," he said in a meeting.”

 

He said the occurrence undermines the group's exertions to welcome differing qualities.

 

A letter was additionally sent to the mosque and to the nearby Radio-Canada station spouting hostile to Islamic talk.

Denis Harvey, lieutenant in the Saguenay police administration, said affecting scorn against a religious gathering is restricted by the Criminal Code and this episode will be researched.
