Chandigarh: Punjab Schools Education Board (PSEB) has set up 192 examination centers at Tehsil level in the state and 1,35,376 students would be appear in the examination of improvement opt for additional subject and reappear of class 10th & the students of arts group of class 12th. The exams would starts from September 4, 2013
Disclosing this here today a spokesman of education department said that the board has decided to send the question papers through Punjab National Bank & HDFC Bank to prevent the leakage of question papers from the examination centres. He also said the examination controller and superintendent would collect these question papers on the day of the scheduled examination from the nearest branch of the bank. Question papers would be sent to various branches of the banks a week before the examination starts.
Banks to give question papers of PSEB schools
He said that the banks have already being informed about the strength of the students in government schools nearest to them. In case the banks receive less numbers of question papers they could inform the board and more question papers would be sent to the banks. The spokesman further said that this process would be also implemented during the annual exams to be held in March 2013-14. The PSEB had already conducted the exam in July 2013 of Medical and Non-Medical students and 25 centres was setup in all the districts of the state.
