SC COMMISSION DIRECTS PUNJABI UNIVERSITY TO FILL SC BACKLOG WITHIN SIX MONTHS

CHANDIGARH: The Punjab State Scheduled Castes today Commission directed the Punjabi university Patiala to fill SC backlog within six months. Presiding over a meeting with University authorities Mr. Rajesh bagha, chairman the Punjab state SC Commission specifically asked them to fill all the vacant seats reserved for SC’s at the earliest. He also directed not to charge admission fee and others funds from the students (Studying in colleges affiliated with Punjabi university) belonging to the SC community under post metric scholarship scheme. Mr. Bagha also asked the Registrar of the university to ensure implementation of scholarship scheme for SC students, in true spirits. Mr. Arwinder singh Chawla, Registrar Punjabi University Patiala led the team from Punjabi university whereas Mrs. Anjana Sandhu, Deputy Director, Welfare department, Punjab, Mr. Surinder Pal, Assistant Director (Colleges) Punjab, also took part in the meeting. Mr. Dalip singh Pandhi and Mrs. Bharti canady (Both members of the commission) were also present in the meeting.
