Chandigarh,: Punjab Health & Family Welfare department has dismissed the services of a pharmacist Mr. Prem Sharn Bansal posted at office of Civil Surgeon Roopnagar accused of stealing medicines from the Civil Hospital Roopnagar and selling them to the private hospital.
Health Department took the decision to immediately suspend the culprit after the Vigilance Department registered a case against arrested him on 26th July, 2013 and recovered the stolen medicines from his house in Kurali.Health & Family Welfare Minister Mr. Madan Mohan Mittal took this matter seriously and instructed officials of the health department take strict action. Earlier after the arrest of Mr. Prem Sharn Bansal department suspended him and more strict action has been taken to dismiss his services keeping in view of the seriousness of the matter.
Health Minister has directed the officials to ensure that such things do not happen in the future and keep a vigil on any such activity. He also said that department would not hesitate to take strict actions against anyone found indulged in any such activity.
