Kiev, Aug 14 (IANS) About 386 people, including 80 children, have been hospitalised after falling sick due to food poisoning in Ukraine's Crimea region, media reported Tuesday.

"Almost all the hospitalised have recently been to the city beach Omega, (which is) known for its shallow water," Xinhua quoted Vladimir Yatsuba, head of Sevastopol City State Administration, as saying.

However, the city sanitary service reported the Omega beach duly complied with norms, the official said.
